Carefully clean the gray or dirty wood with a Star brite teak cleaner. When grinding teak wood, it is necessary to clean the surface before sealing, not forgetting to remove all loose wax or resin. Then use a Star brite teak brightener - it not only improves the texture and patina of the teak, but also opens the pores of the wood, allowing Teak Sealer to penetrate more evenly and provides maximum adhesion and performance. If any stains, black stripes or traces of dirt still remain, use a Star brite tick scrub while the tick is wet to remove all stains. Before applying the sealant, let the teak dry completely. Mix the sealant by shaking or stirring. Once opened, use a mixing stick to stir the solid particles at the bottom of the solution container. Apply the product with a foam brush in the direction of wood fibers, with short smooth brush movements to obtain a uniform coating. Continue applying all over the surface, finishing smears at natural break points, such as seams. Upon completion, apply a second layer to ensure a smooth clean surface. The next step is to clean up the heavy traffic areas with Star brite Boat Wash or a diluted Star brite Teak Cleaner and let dry. Paint the scuffs or scratches while applying Teak Sealer. Extinguish the surrounding space with a clean dry cloth. After drying, the treated surface will merge with another treated teak. Star brite Teak Sealer gradually fades with age rather than turning black. At the same time, follow these instructions completely to polish the surface.
